NOVA FCT Science Days conference was created with a clear goal: to showcase the excellent research developed at the NOVA School of Science and Technology of NOVA University Lisbon. More than just a presentation of results, this event aims to be a true space for sharing, inspiration, and building bridges between researchers from different fields.
Scientific research is increasingly collaborative, interdisciplinary, and international. It is essential to know what our colleagues are working on — even those in the office next door — as this mutual awareness can pave the way for new collaborations, innovative solutions, and, just as importantly, joint funding opportunities. Often, the key to answering a scientific question lies in a tool, approach, or knowledge that already exists within our own institution.
The NOVA FCT Science Days also aim to stimulate the collective ambition of our scientific community. By learning about the journeys of colleagues who have secured competitive funding — whether through European projects, the European Research Council (ERC), or other international initiatives — we can strengthen our motivation to aim higher. We want everyone to feel inspired to turn ideas into strong and successful proposals.
This conference will allow a moment to listen, engage and discover. But above all, it will be a celebration of the science produced at NOVA FCT — of the diversity and quality of our projects and of our collective capacity to do more and do better.
We will have a poster with our research and on the ground work - Multilevel Collaborative Research Spearheading Europe’s Fight Against Energy Poverty
