Ponto de Transição (Transition Point) - [2021-2025]

Ponto de Transição (Transition Point) is a face-to-face one-stop-shop operating out of a reused shipping container, with the goal of providing residents with useful, practical information on how they can improve the thermal comfort of their homes. It was launched and sponsored by Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation, aiming to develop a proximity initiative at the municipal and parish level to test an innovative model to help families improve the energy performance of their homes.


Besides CENSE team, the partnership counts with the participation of ENA – Energy and Environment Agency of Arrábida and RNAE – Association of Energy and Environment Agencies (National Network), and also with the collaboration of the Setúbal City Council, Palmela City Council, and the Parish Councils of the respective municipalities.


The project has an itinerant nature, as it moves between municipalities as needed. The first phase saw the centre located in the city of Setúbal; in the second phase, it was located Palmela, and now it can be found in the municipality of Sesimbra.


With assistance from a qualified expert, the Ponto de Transição provides the following services to local populations:
 • Advice on electricity and gas bills
 • Information and advice on obtaining financing for the energy renovation of homes and assistance in completing application forms
 • Advice on electricity and gas bills
 • Free home energy assessments.
