1st EPAH Practitioners Event on Summer Energy Poverty

#HEATWAVES#SUMMER ENERGY POVERTY#SOUTHERN EU

July 01, 2025 from 09:00 to 11:30

Participants: João Pedro Gouveia Pedro Palma

We host the 1st EPAH Practitioners Event on Summer Energy Poverty - "Cool Solutions for Hot Regions: Addressing Summer Energy Poverty through Data and Action"

As southern European regions face mounting heatwaves and prolonged summer temperatures, the challenge of summer energy poverty is becoming increasingly urgent. Vulnerable households face significant health and well-being risks due to poor housing conditions, lack of cooling infrastructure, and limited resources.

Join the Energy Poverty Advisory Hub (PAH) online event on July 1st to connect with peers, share your experiences, and explore how cities are tackling summer heat and vulnerability.

We invite local governments, researchers, and community actors active in the context of Southern Europe (e.g., Spain, Greece, Italy, Portugal, Malta, Cyprus).

I will be joined by an exceptional panel of experts bringing multiple angles of problem diagnosis, action, and policy:

Host - João Pedro Gouveia (NOVA FCT and EPAH)

  • Carmen Sánchez-Guevara from Universidad Politécnica de Madrid
