Katherine Mahoney attends Research Ethics Course

#RESEARCH ETHICS

May 10, 2022, from 12:00 to 12:00

Participants: Katherine Mahoney

Katherine completed the two day NOVA doctoral school Research Ethics course between the 10th and the 17th of May. Themes covered in the course included an introduction to Ethics and Research Ethics, Conflicts of Interest in Research, Ethical Issues of the Publication Process, Scientific Misconduct and Ethical Guidelines for a Research Project. For Katherine the value of this course was two-fold. Firstly it gave interesting insights into the ethical considerations in the research field which are informative for all working in the area. Secondly, as Katherine's work has a strong participatory element it added depth to her understanding of how to treat sensitive data which has direct implications for her PhD work.
