João Pedro Gouveia was invited as a panel speaker for the "Por Cidades de um só Planeta: Capacitar Professores para um Futuro Sustentável" conference.

Casa das Ciências XI Encontro, under the theme "For Cities of a Single Planet: Mobility, Sustainability, Resources and Governance in the Educational Context." This event took place in Guimarães, from 7 to 9 July 2026, as part of the celebrations for Guimarães as Green Capital 2026.

This gathering marks a crucial milestone for educational mobilisation around sustainability, responding to the urgent need to educate for habits and practices that respect planetary boundaries. We recognise that the transition to a greener future requires intentional and focused education, and it is in this context that the theme of the "Sustainable City" — addressing mobility, environmental sustainability, the green economy and governance — becomes a fundamental pillar of teaching practice.
