Miguel Sequeira and João Pedro Gouveia are speakers at the DOOBRA 2.0 public Launch Event

October 06, 2026 from 17:00 to 19:00

Participants: João Pedro Gouveia Miguel Macias Sequeira

How can we tackle energy poverty from the neighbourhood up?

On 6 October, from 5:30 to 7:00 pm, I'll be at CIUL – Lisbon Urban Information Centre for the launch of DOOBRA 2.0, a project that brings together communities, institutions and scientific knowledge to tackle energy poverty in #Lisboa.

DOOBRA 2.0 takes a proximity-based approach to the challenges of energy poverty. It engages communities and local partners in finding solutions to use energy more efficiently and improve comfort at home.

Over 18 months, the programme will be active in six Lisbon neighbourhoods: #Telheiras, #AltodoLumiar, #BairroPadreCruz, #BairroHorizonte, #PortugalNovo and #QuintadoLavrado.

Together with Miguel Macias Sequeira, I'll present the European and national context for tackling energy poverty: where we stand, what has worked, and why local action is essential.
