Dr. João Pedro Gouveia invited keynote speaker for the second edition of ADENE's “Think about Energy” Conference Cycle.
It will take place on June 29 and will invite participants to reflect on the theme “Energy for All and the Challenges in Implementing the National Long-Term Strategy for Combating Energy Poverty”.
In Portugal, between 660 and 740 thousand people are in a situation of severe energy poverty, according to the proposed Long-Term National Strategy for Combating Energy Poverty 2021-2050. We are faced with the urgent need to mitigate this phenomenon, it is therefore important to gather to discuss what are the barriers and opportunities in combating energy poverty and how to take action.
The Cultural Center of Mirandela will be the stage, from 10 am to 1 pm, for an extended discussion with the presence of the Secretary of State for Regional Development, Isabel Ferreira, the Mayor of Mirandela, Júlia Rodrigues and also the participation of Dr. João Pedro Gouveia, Research Center in Environment and Sustainability (CENSE, FCT-NOVA), the Association of Energy and Environment Agencies (RNAE), the European Anti-Poverty Network – EAPN Portugal, União das Misericórdias Portuguesas, Braga City Council and the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation.
