Miguel Macias Sequeira was awarded a Medal of Merit by the Lumiar Parish Council, which is awarded to individuals or groups who have provided exceptionally relevant services and who have contributed to the progress and prestige of the Parish, Region, or Country. This award was presented on April 2, 2025, during the ceremony to mark the 759th anniversary of the Lumiar Parish Council. The Executive of JF Lumiar, in the person of its President Dr. Ricardo Mexia, highlighted Miguel's contributions in the creation of the Telheiras/Lumiar Renewable Energy Community, a pioneering project for the local production and sharing of solar energy. This action research work is one of the pillars of Miguel's Doctoral Thesis and CENSE NOVA-FCT is one of the project partners.
