Beatriz Lourenço is currently pursuing an MSc degree in Sustainable Urbanism and Spatial Planning, building upon a background in Geospatial Engineering.
Her academic journey has led her to explore the intricate intersections of spatial data analysis and urban sustainability.
She is developing her master’s thesis into the critical issue of energy poverty and its impact on vulnerable communities. Her research focuses on social housing neighborhoods in Alcochete, Barreiro, Moita, and Montijo, serving as a case study to better understand the challenges faced by these communities.
With expertise in Geospatial Engineering, Beatriz encompasses various facets, including Cartography, Geospatial Intelligence, Position and Navigation, WebSIG, 3D and Smart Cities, Satellites, Spatial Analysis, and GPS. This knowledge equips her with the skills to analyze and interpret spatial data, offering invaluable insights for informed decision-making.
