The other internship focused on the carbon credits sector, entailing the development of a project centered around estimating nature's services—carbon sequestration and biodiversity—certifying these services, and introducing them to international markets.

Assunção is currently working for Savills as a ESG & Sustainability consultant as well as doing the master thesis in order to complete the master´s degree. The thesis addresses the issue of green leases for sustainable buildings currently on the European property market. Green leases are leases where it is additionally foreseen that the leased property is used and managed in a way that promotes environmental sustainability. Both parties to the agreement commit to conserve natural resources and energy regarding the leased property. Her aim is to explore the advantages of implementing green leases, culminating in the formulation of a comprehensive set of guidelines for proposing such leases.
