Newspaper "Polígrafo" and TV channel SIC use our article to fact-check popular social media publication

The newspaper "Polígrafo", in its website but also via the public TV channel "SIC", used Pedro Palma's and João Pedro Gouveia's article "How much will it cost? An energy renovation analysis for the Portuguese dwelling stock", to fact-check a popular social media publication that claimed that the renovation of the whole Portuguese dwelling stock to the requirements of the existing energy performance of residential buildings regulation would entail a cost of €71.7 thousand million euros. This information is in fact correct, as the scientific article estimates precisely this value in one of the analyzed scenarios, considering roof and walls renovation and windows replacement across the dwelling stock.
