Scientific Coordinator of the Energy Poverty Advisory Hub (EPAH), which provides technical support to local initiatives to combat energy poverty, criticizes the delay in publishing the national strategy.

At Lumiar, in Lisbon, more is needed to create an “inclusive renewable energy community”, which promotes the fight against energy poverty and, at the same time, the use of locally produced clean energy. The project, which was born from the initiative of the Lumiar Parish Council (JFL) and the Viver Telheiras association, is one of several Portuguese projects selected to receive technical support from the Energy Poverty Advisory Hub (EPAH), an initiative of the European Commission that provides advice to local projects aimed at solving situations of energy poverty.
