Higher education students report thermal discomfort mainly in Alentejo

Higher education students suffer from thermal discomfort in both summer and winter, especially in Alentejo, with displaced students being the most affected, concludes an investigation by the Faculty of Science and Technology of Universidade Nova de Lisboa.


The responses from 848 students from universities and polytechnics in the North, Center, Alentejo and Lisbon Metropolitan Area demonstrated national energy poverty, but in a more aggravated way, according to João Pedro Gouveia, responsible for the research published this week in the academic magazine Energy Research & Social Sciences.
