One energy efficiency funding scheme for vulnerable families - 3 million euros. We support the development of an energy efficiency support scheme for families, the co-development of the regulations and evaluation process, and the evaluation of all the applications submitted.
The Cascais City Council has launched the country's first Municipal Green Fund to provide financial support to families in the municipality for implementing energy efficiency and transition measures in buildings, homes, or workplaces.
This initiative not only helps reduce energy costs for families but also accelerates the energy transition process toward the decarbonization of the municipality, aligning with the commitments of the Cascais Carbon Neutrality Roadmap 2050.
The fund allocates three million euros to support families and is the first public environmental fund to adopt an advance transfer model (ex-ante) for the most vulnerable families (IRS brackets 1 to 4). This ensures that the energy transition is accessible to everyone.
